Josiah and Kaitlin turned 2 1/2 on the 9th. Where did the past 6 months go? Kaitlin can easily count from 1-14. Most of the time she is really good with her ABCs. Slowly learning to sing ABC song. She loves to sing. Loves FROZEN. ANYTHING to do with FROZEN. There are days all she does is play with her "baby sister" (baby doll) the miles she puts on her stroller between the kitchen and the living room have to be adding up. She is getting more and more independent which kills me but yet makes my life a bit easier. I like letting her pick her "day clothes" out (on days we don't leave the house) I can't help but laugh at some of the outfits she picks out. "YES! Purple and orange do look good together and that green bow in your hair works perfect with the outfit." Little girls are amazing. Favorite food, mac and cheese and pizza. Josiah. He knows his numbers if you ask him to find the number. But putting them in order... 2,4.3,8,9,5,12. Work in progress. He is a pro at his letters. He asks me to sing the ABC song (100x in a row) but every time I get to the part "next time won't you sing with me" he gets serious and says "no mommy I not sing with you". Like most little boys Josiah loves doing everything his daddy does. Loves helping him outside making wood, checking chickens, changing oil on the truck... you name it. Josiah would live outside if he could. Favorite food, (this isn't as easy as Kaits) Tank loves food. Period. Steak, hot dogs, carrots, beets, corn, (except doesn't like corndog breading???) pork chops, chicken. His new favorite vegetable is asparagus. Their independence is growing. Their need to help with EVERYTHING is nice but yet annoying. How many times am I going to trip over their stools in the kitchen before I remember to watch for them? Josiah knows how to get the coffee pot ready for the next day. They both know how to fill and start the dish washer and know what buttons to push on the washing machine and dryer. I can't remember the last time I actually got to start the dryer. I realize this enthusiasm to help won't last forever so I try to stay in the moment. Breath, take my time (keep 1 step ahead and be PREPARED for their help) and let them help. Flour all over my kitchen floor? Nothing the vacuum cleaner won't take care of. Broken record here but time is going by way to fast. It is amazing what 2 months, 8 short weeks can do to a baby. At 6 months Isaiah was JUST starting to sit unassisted. Shortly after that he started to actually crawl, belly off the ground. Then he started sitting himself up on his own. Then he started pulling himself up to stand. He now transfers from the table to the couch on his own and has even been trying to take a step or two. He has started eating SOLIDS. Pureed foods aren't in his radar anymore. I still try to get a few pureed fruits in him because I have them in the freezer but other than that he eats table food. I have yet to find something he doesn't like.
At 4 months he had 2 teeth. Right around 7 1/2 months he started getting 4 in at the same time on the top, and two bottom ones are pretty swollen and look like they don't feel great. Zaza is probably going to be the most accident prone of my children. Not because he is clumsy but because he insists on doing EVERYTHING the big kids are doing. He follows them everywhere. If they are upstairs playing he is at the bottom of the stairs shaking the gate and yelling. If they are taking a bath he finds them and plays with them until they are done. if they are wrestling with daddy on the floor, yup, Isaiah is right there too. So if you see my baby scratched up and a little bruised once in awhile, its only because he LOVES his big brother and sister and he thinks he can be big like them. He is still the happiest baby ever, even with a few ear infections, a really nasty cold and those teethers coming in. I find it hard to take him to the Dr. sometimes even when I KNOW he has an ear infection. He smiles all day, every day, no matter what. It is the night time that is rough when he has an ear infection and he doesn't want his bottle.

4 Wheeler + old sled + creek +snow = FUN! I'm not sure who had more fun. The kids, or Dad. Isaiah and I stayed back when Dad and J n K went on a LONG sled ride up the creek. Snapped a few pictures of his beautiful blue eyes. My heart melts every time I see these baby blues, the sparkle in them is always there. ALWAYS. Such a happy little boy! The frozen creek bed makes for a great sledding road. 100% frozen over after last weeks bitter cold temperatures! Winter had been fairly warm here up through Christmas. Then the temperature plummeted. BURR! Kids didn't get to go outside and play for well over a week because it was to cold! Tank in-particular was going stir crazy. That kid would live outside if he could. This weekend wasn't to bad. Chilly but not really windy so Sunday afternoon we decided to spend time outside. This week (after today) is supposed to really start warming up. 30s by the end of the week! (take that with a grain of salt, Ill be bitching about the mud when this happens!)
