Ben has been busy cleaning out the barn. With spring being here pretty much all winter but now it being light out longer he has spent a lot more time outside. Here is a pic. We still have a long way to go but this is a great start! he also uncovered all these cement decorative blocks... I see another craigs list posting happening... There is probably about 100 sq feet here. Any takers? Ben just wants it gone! Easy DemolitionBen had the skid loader out when cleaning out the barn. I dont know the details and didn't ask, just laughed.
The old milk house was still standing, technically. We knew it wasn't staying because it was to far gone but had no plans to remove it any time soon. But he came in the house and said oops the milk house is no longer attached to the barn. "I hit it with the skid loader" This shows the true condition of the milk house.

Happy Birthday to my hubby! It's his golden birthday today 28!
I LOVE YOU! I love my husband. He his the half that makes me whole. He makes me laugh and is always there for me. There is noone else out there like him. I love my husband because when we go to bed some part of him has to be touching me, no matter how many days in a row I tell him to get on his side of the bed. I love my husband because he sees all my flaws and loves me inspite of them. I love my husband because when I am sad he tries to make me laugh and always stays positive. I love my husband because he works so hard for our future. I love my husband because nomatter how scrubby I look he always tells me how beautiful he thinks I am. I love my husband because I can never wash dishes without him coming up behind me and giving me a hug. I love my husband because he pretends to like some of the things I like, even though I know he could care less. I love my husband because he is a provider, who else has venison, squirl, rabbit etc in their freezer? I love my husband because he is crazy like me. I love him because he makes me whole. If I didn't know better I'd say it was the End of March not mid Feb. The days have been so nice. I've been opening up the window in our bedroom on the south side of the house during the day for a little fresh air, but the sunshine keeps it nice and warm yet. Yesteray we drove to Strawberry Point Iowa for a suprise double birthday party for some great friends of ours. It was really nice to see them. We really don't get together often enough! And now I am craving strawberries thanks to the HUGE strawberry thats in Strawberry Point Iowa. www.strawberrypt.com Spring Cleaning in the BarnToday (sunday) after church Ben started cleaning out the Barn. He beheaded all the horses. AKA Bikes with saw horses attached and horse heads on them. IDK. But seriously those things were well made and for each individual bike... one wouldn't fit on the other... Wish I had a good picture of them. I didn't think of it until after they were all taken apart. Opps. We hope to get a pig or two. Will be adding 16ish acres to square up our property. Close on the 29th. Oh how I LOVE to spend money... But I am glad to have a property line that doesn't look like it was stepped off by a drunk donkey... Protector of the Chickens/Critter GitterTimber looks full of energy right? Looks like he has such a rough life. I have never met another Dog who didn't have such a drama queen attitude... but I am proud of him! Friday I watched him pull a Raccoon out of a wood pile and saturday he pulled a wood chuck out from under our porch. It is really funny to watch him because when he gets in the zone he doesn't HEAR anything you say and he doesn't give up. I'm currious to see how big of a whole he ended up digging under the porch. I joked with Ben that I bet when he is done we'll beable to pore a basement under it.
Motivation on my part is starting to increase as being sick decreases. Here is to hoping that the 2nd trimester is smooth sailing! B's dad came down during the week last week. He was at our house working on the nursery all by himself! Thats one dedicated grandpa. He filled in the holes and cracks in the walls he was COVERED in dust. And then He and B worked on painting the walls white. Here is what we started with B and I (mostly B) spend all day sunday stripping off 8 layers of wall paper. I know it looks like it has water stains on the walls. Thats because it does. However there is a new roof on the house AND the ceiling is new so once its all said and done it will be ok! Here are the pics of its current condition. It's still a work in progress. But thats all the God asks for right? He asks for Progress not perfection. B's to do list has been growing! Well housesWell houses and pregnant women. Did I tell anyone B made me crawl (yes crawl) into the well house? Calling it a house is giving it way to much credit... its more like a hole in the ground with brick walls and plywood over the top. Our water wasn't working the day before we were to leave for The Dells with my sisters and their families. Needless to say our plumber thought it was amusing... I may be a bad sick person but I am willing to pitch in when the need arises... scary creepy well houses or not!
