I know it is a little hard to tell because one yolk broke but this egg (from our chickens) has 3 yolks.... how crazy is that!

Side note: All but 2 of the chickens have been staying in the pen! I can handle 2 chickens running around the yard. But adventually they will have to stay in the pen as well.
Also we are going to have eggs coming out our ears here soon. The new hens are starting to lay eggs. We'll go from averaging 3/day to probably at least 10/day... A little bit of TMIJT has acid reflux, he started Meds last night. kaitlin is showing a few signs of it as well... between this and fighting a bit of constipation in both babies our days have been rocking... Yesterday I didn't even have time to change out of my puked on clothes, I have not gotten any pictures taken lately...
Positive note, the meds seem to be kicking in for JT. He is sleeping right now pretty peacefully. No grunting, arching back, scrunching up his face... poor boy. Today they get to spend the afternoon at their Great Aunt Rochelle's house. I have a dr. appt and ben is going to go with me. Ben and Rachel time and making a much needed shopping trip. I need to find an outfit for the baptism. (FYI: Sept 8th after 7pm mass at St. Mary's) Ordered the patterns for their "baptism" outfits. I have the fabric. Hope to pick up the odds and ends that I need and get them done BEFORE the 8th ;). Wish me luck! I will post pics WHEN i get them done. We decided we needed a barn cat or two. Some friends from Osage had a few they wanted to get rid of. They were a mom and a kitten combo. Mom stuck around for all of 24 hours. Now we just have the kitten. Affectionally named "Kitty" or "Kitten". she likes to hang out in high places the haymow window being one, on top of the leanto another, and up any tree in the yard. Hope she is a good mouser. :D Bought a cabinet that needs to be cleaned up at a auction in NH last weekend. It'll go upstairs for storage. Hopefully i can get most of my clothes out of the laundry closet! Now I just have to find the time to clean it up! Ben and his dad have been working on the chicken coop. :) I know this may sound like a broken record but I am SOOO ready for these chickens to be penned up! I like our old chicken coop but this one will be so much more functional. I haven't been able to get the chicken eggs out of the old one. Decided to splurge and buy horse fense to make the pen for the chickens. should be up by the end of the day today! This will be a pretty boring post... no new pictures. Why is it that 98% of my pictures are of sleeping babies?
JT and Kait had a dr. appt today. It has been 2 weeks since their last one. The DR. wants them to gain about 1oz per day, that was the goal he left us with for 2 weeks. I didn't want Ben to take off work today because it was just a weigh in appt. So I manhandled the kids by myself today. Got a lot of "ohhh you are by YOURSELF today" and a "poor girl" look. It really wasn't a big deal. I loaded up sleeping babies into the truck, drove to wloo, unloaded sleeping babies, (didn't take stroller, to much work) we literally got called into the "office", I put kids in dry diapers, they weighed them, dr asked if i had any questions/concerns and we were done... 5 min max. Fed babies loaded sleeping babies into truck and drove home. Our goal was met! Babies did great gaining weight. Kait 2 weeks ago was 5.9 today she was 6.9 JT 2 weeks ago was 5.10 today he was 6.12 Hopefully they start fitting into more of their clothes soon! If it were actually cold out my kids would have nothing warm to wear so we would be going NOWHERE unless absolutly necessary... **Maybe it's the lack of sleep that makes things like this irritate me, but when people see the babies and then look at me and say "You have TWO babies." I just want to say DUH. Add that to the "are they identical" question and we can put together a Math class AND a biology class. It is hard to believe that it's been 4 weeks already. seriously did this all really happen? I see them, I deffinatly HEAR them, I hold them I KNOW they are real but I just can't believe it. I love these cuties more than I knew possible. I'm hoping by now others can start telling them apart. Next dr appt on the 9th. Will have growth updates then but I can assure you that they are eating like pigs and growing growing growing! 1st auction!JT and Kait got to go to their first auction on Saturday (an their second on sunday). They got spoiled but we bought nothing. It was an auction for a extended family member so there was plenty of people willing to hold the kiddos. I think EVERYONE at the sale stopped to look at the kids.
Side note apparenty taking the kids out is what it takes to make it rain! We got a good measurable rain. FINALLY. we went to a auction on sunday also but didn't stay for the whole thing. One oldish man asked if it was boy boy, or girl girl... we had just gotten finished discussing that they were boy girl and how great it was to have one of each etc. He then looks at us and says "do you supposed they'll be identical?" 1st. he said it like they will BECOME identical but aren't now... 2nd. Seriously one has a wiener and one doesn't... Do we need to have a biology lesson here people? |
