I know, I know you guys think I'm kind of crazy to still have a positive attitude about the snow. It's not the snow that's been getting to me its the sub zero temps that we've had for weeks on end with no relief. We've finally started "warming up"! The kids can now get outside and actually play in all the snow. Winter is a lot more enjoyable when you can get outside and play. I know Tank doesn't really look all that happy about being outside. He was more perturbed at the fact that I made him stop to take a picture. He was TRYING to keep up with Papa who was driving the tractor. Kaiterbear was more than happy to stop for a picture but was much more interested in what dad was doing. :) I was just happy they were out of the house. Dad gave the kids a 4wheeler ride up and down the driveway. He tried going down our road but the snow was to deep, I'm thinking he would have LOVED trying to walk both kids home if he had gotten stuck. We fed the chickens. We helped Papa carry heavy stuff to the garage. Mable and Mavis get new namesWe fed the pigs with dad. I decided since we have made an appointment for the girls to visit the locker at the end of the month that they needed new names. The kids and I decided Pork Chop and Breakfast Sausage were good names. Here is a pic of the girls. Loving me some wood heat.I've always appreciated wood heat and the money it saves us each year in heat bills. But this year alone I think we paid for our wood stove in money savings. It takes a lot to keep this old farmhouse warm! Thanks to my hubby we don't have to worry about that.

This fall I wrote about how Ben stripped down a decrepit old shed that was pretty useless in the state that it was. After he had it all braced and up on skids he hauled it across the yard and parked it out by the garden. Not so much as a garden shed at the moment. More of a store stuff shed. Once we have a garage, pole shed. Buildings that hold the weather out in general it'll become more of a "garden shed/kids toy shed" but until then. It just looks cute. ;)
I have gotten a new computer and haven't gotten around to getting the old pics off of it yet (for the most part). So you'll have to just visit the last post I did on this subject to remember what the shed looked like before. link to post: http://beavercreekproject.weebly.com/1/archives/11-2013/1.html I promised you pics of the shed once it got tinned. I hate to admit that it has been tinned for a few months now. True to my history. Better late than never right? The tin was put on by a man with 8 1/2 fingers and a priest. There has to be a joke in there somewhere. hehe. Dear baby in my belly. I am so blessed you love to move. You remind me already of your sister. But just an fyi, mom's ribs are breakable.
Dear baby in my belly. I love that you are healthy and growing. But for now, until you are out of my belly could you refrain from wanting to eat at 2am? Dear baby in my belly. I doubt you are going to sit around watching your brother and sister jump on things. But until you are outside my belly and READY to jump. Please, my bladder, it is not a trampoline. Dear baby in my belly. I love your tiny feet, hands, head, elbows. Your dad does too. You don't need to go into hiding every time he tries to feel you in my belly. Dear baby in my belly. My heart breaks for you, it aches for you. But this burning because of you? Thank God for meds! Dear baby in my belly. Daddy and I love you to the moon and back. We imagine who's hair you are going to have, what color your eyes will be. We wonder if you'll have your dad's coloring or moms. We wonder if you'll like pasta like your brother or cheese like your sister. We pray you are healthy and happy. We pray that we raise you to be the best person you can possibly be, and that you'll love and trust in God. It's hard to imagine that we could love you anymore than we do today. Fr. told us this past weekend that you are on loan to us from God. Even though there are days that we'll want to return you, its temporary and our love for you will never end. NO. MATTER. WHAT. Dear baby in my belly. We can't wait to meet you. May can't get here soon enough. |
