Ask and it shall be given unto you...On a Tuesday a week or two ago I texted Ben saying I had gotten 8 eggs that day. We had 3 full dozen eggs in the fridge and ZERO egg cartons in my stash left. That same day, a friend from MC randomly brought Ben 2 cartons. Whew that saved the day ;)... hehe not like it was the end of the world or anything. That wasn't supposed to happen until the 21st. Then that night Old Jim stopped by. I asked him if he wanted some eggs, he said SURE!........pause.... Do YOU want some egg cartons? Of course I said sure if he had no use for them. He walked directly out to his car and brought us this..... Never counted them but its a good sized stack! (not to say I don't still want more ;) ). Blizzard Warning! For days they were warning us of the impending doom of a winter weather watch, warning and then Blizzard. Forcast for us was 8-18 inches (depending on which chanel you watched). Sad to say I think we were on the low end at 8 inches. It is hard to tell how much we actually got because of the 45mph winds blowing it all into the trees and ditches. But it sure is pretty. Before and After pics. Ben and I were both a little sad that we didn't get more snow. We were prepared to be snowed in, and looking forward to it. Oh well, this is way more than we got all winter last year, we'll take it. :) Merry Christmas (a few days early for us)It was great to see everyone at Christmas. Good food and company. Kids didn't really know what to think. They are to little yet. Tank enjoyed playing with wrinkled wrapping paper and Kait did too. I think everything was a little over stimulating for them! All the people and noise. They slept great Sunday night, I think they were REALLY happy to be home, they layed on the rug this morning with their toys just smiling and playing. It was really nice. Thank you every one for the great gifts. I think Ben's favorite gift (though every single gift is loved) was his Stormy Kromer hat. My favorite gift/s were actually for the kids. A great wagon, a good investment! and 12 Charlie Banana cloth Diapers!!! :) They are ready to be washed/prepped and used. To say I'm excited to add to my stash is an understatement. Now if I just happen to not get diapers washed at night I will still have enough for the next day. ***Insert sigh of relief here*** Deer Hunting was not a success for Ben but....Rabbit hunting this morning was! What a great way for Ben to spend a few hours on Christmas eve after returning from work. Glad that was a short trip Ben! PIcture: Ben and his Ithica, 2 rabbits and his new Stormy Kromer hat. So proud. He actually may not have had as successful of adventure if Brown Dog hadn't kicked up a few rabbits. This is odd becuase usually Ben walks out of the house carrying a gun case and Brown Dog is hiding, shaking from head to tip of his tail. He won't come out until he thinks the guns are all gone. There can even be gun shots a mile away and he freaks out. Maybe he is learning in his old age. :) hehe yeah right. Good night all. Merry Christmas tomorrow. In the words of Stormy Kromer "This year lets not worry so much about what we buy for people. Lets focus a little more on what we GIVE them." Well said SK, Well Said.

Ok in reality they were 5 months on Sunday.... We ran out of time on Sunday to take pics, Monday they must have been in the middle of a growth spurt because by the time I'd get them up, fed, diapers changed they'd be looking sleepy again. Sigh. I did get a few pics (sans smiles, what is it with these kids and not smiling for the camera?!?) The first one is Tank in the saucer lovin on his giraffe. The next one is the kiddos infront of their first Christmas tree. They are sporting their "first Christmas" pjs from Schlictings. Thanks guys. :) So much love I finally managed to get some pics for their 5m photos in the afternoon on Monday. Still not a lot of smiles for the camera but pleanty before, inbetween and after photos. KIDS! A lot of my favorite photos just make me laugh because of their expressions. My kids crack me up. I really wanted to make Tank a tie for his onsie but didn't have the right fabric... oh well you win some you loose some. Kiddo Updates:
Kaitlin in the last month has started rolling over from her belly to back ALL THE TIME. Nap time for her has started to become a pain, but it could be worse. She has been eating baby food 3x a day now. NOT a huge squash fan. :) But loves carrots! She is kind of funny. I was struggling with her. She'd act hungry but get SO crabby when I was feeding them both baby food at the same time. One day their schedules were off so I was able to feed them at diff times. Kait ate like a champ. It took me a few times of this to put two and two together. She just eats so much better when its just me and her. I'll take it I guess. When you sing to Kait she loves to smile and she'll sing right back. She will giggle and she is a little ticklish but nothing like her brother! She still likes flying and I've started laying on my back on the floor lifting her up in the air, she LOVES it and smiles and laughs the whole time. She likes bath time but the poor peanut gets cold so easily. Her bottom jaw literally starts chattering (if gums could chatter). She is also on the verge of sitting on her own. I sit her on the couch and she can sit for quite some time, if you watch all the pics from their 5m group you'll see that I have them leaning on the hutch/blanket, she is pretty much holding Tank up. Such a Tank, make the women do all the work kid. He sure did learn that early! Josiah Tank Tank still fits him best. This kid is solid. LOVES any food I put in his mouth. Well, peaches (any fruit really) took him awhile. Think it was just to sweet for him. But now he eats them no problem. HE has no issues eating if his sister is there, only problem is he gets mad if you are giving HER the next spoon full and his mouth is empty! UGH SO mad! JT is such a giggle butt. Really easy for Ben and me to get him to giggle. He is ticklish almost everywhere. Tanks new favorite thing to do... Bath time. Since our trip to the pool which wasn't a huge success he has learned to splash (much to his sisters dismay) I usually put him in the tub first get him all scrubbed up. Put Kait in and let Tank play while Kait gets all scrubbed up, take Kait out and get here dressed. THEN I take him out. However I'm pretty sure if he could tell me what to do it'd be "I"M NOT READY TO GET OUT MOM!" As I mentioned in Kait's update. Tank isn't as close to sitting up as his sister, but he is progressing every day. Both kids have started to really enjoy laying on the floor and playing with each other. LOVE it. Now off to work on a Christmas gift and finish painting 1/2 the trim in the guest room and poly the floor... Finally got kids on the same nap schedule as Tank was up at 5 with major diaper issues he went back down at 6, Kait got up at 6 went back down at 7....... sigh it was a LONG morning! We've been fighting with the kids at night. They have been waking, not because they are hungery or wet, but apparently they want attention. ARGH! It is literally a fight of will power from the hours of 2am - 6am!!!!! We've restorted to the "cry it out" method because I will not play with them at that hour! Don't get me wrong I am flattered my kids love me so much they just want to play with me but seriously kids mom needs some sleep! (dad does too) I tried my best to not stimulate them when we'd feed them at night from the start. I'd actually just lay them on the floor so they didn't get accustomed to being held in the middle of the night, We, well I don't talk to them or play at all. during SLEEP TIME. Hope this stage is short lived. Cus we are also working on getting them to sleep longer in the am. sometimes they just want to be up at 4am, 5am... 6am I can handle but we usually don't make it that long without some crying. Usually from me. So after a long "morning" Me sleeping on the couch with Kait just chillin with me, JT on the boppy pillow on the floor and Dad in the recliner I sent Dad to make some coffee... Mr. Coffee NOW is NOT the time to stop working! Mr. Coffee is around 2 years old. Is this seriously the lifespan of a coffee pot these days? I'm pretty sure our last one didn't even live that long, but in fairness the pervious one was maybe 1 year old (REALLY CHEEP ONE). So what do we do? Get out the ANCIENT (sorry mom) perculator that my mom had for as long as I can remember. Kept it around to make Grandpa and Grandma coffee when they came over. Seriously mom how old is this perc? When mom decided to update to a new perculator I scooped this pot up and it has come to my rescue MANY times. Used it when ever a coffee pot decides to not work, used it when I was pg and wanted coffee but not the leaded version (this way ben still got his leaded coffee in the morning still). Why can't things last as long anymore? Why don't I just use the perculator? because for one I NEVER remember to turn it off so then I have burned coffee. ICK! and second I love the programer so we can set it to make us coffee 5min before we get up. So the Best part of waking up is foldgers in your cup, NOT The best part of waking up is making coffee, waiting 10 min and then foldgers in your cup. Guess I have to go shopping... I seriously need to do something about the remainder of my christmas gifts that I have not gotten. anyways.. so maybe its God's way of saying STOP PROCRASTINATING, or is that Prioratize better? I'm not sure... eitherway I have got to get the christmas shopping done! Kiddos are doing well (besides their sleep, i mean waking issues in the night... Not much a post on them. The'll be 5months on Sunday so I'll post a ton of photos and updates on them then. Until then..... The really are happy babies but are not big on smiling at the camera...
