I see a pattern here. Spring arrives my posts dwindle at best. Summer arrives...... silence. Dead silence. Seasons change again, leaves start falling along with the temps, and my posts start filtering in slowly. Winter arrives with a vengeance and I'm all about blogging. My last blog was Isaiahs 2 year bday. As of yesterday he is 2 1/2. 6 months! We have been blessed with wonderful weather for 6m! And I still can't say the weather isn't beautiful. Nov 6 and it's in the 70s for the high today. Attended church this morning and nobody wore coats. Things I missed blogging about. All the time the kids spent in the splash pad I made them. Isaiah SMASHING his finger in the window. Me having to force the window open to get him unstuck. Visit to the ER. kid was lucky. Only lost his nail. How it wasn't broken, I don't know. The window was SHUT. You will be happy to know his nail grew back and you can't even tell it happened. 3 kids and one parent with hand foot and mouth. YUCK! In June we had a "shed/bday party" 300° out that day and our air conditioning broke that night. Seriously it had to have been the hottest, muggiest day of the last few years. Trip to the caves near Harmony, IA. And the awesome dinner with the to. Die. For. Pies. Sorry Josiah and Kaitlin for missing your 4 year post! I wrote you each a hand written letter. In cursive. I hope they teach you how to read and write cursive or you are sol on that one too. Jnk's swim lessons. K is a water bug. J just tolerates it. "Snake hill reunion " at the lake. 8 adults and 9 kids (one new born) and 2 on the way. Next year will be interesting! I didn't even post about the great flood. Although many of you probably saw a few pictures floating around ig or fb. That was an interesting few days. Sad to say they fixed our road that washed out a good 150 ft. THE GREAT IOWA STATE FAIR First day of school. Yes. I lost my super mom award on this one. Maybe that's why for the first month Josiah would break down whenever we dropped him off. Broke. My. Heart. But now they both love 4k and their teacher, and class mates and the principal, and the lunch lady. There pretty much isn't anyone they don't love in their school. Our 10 year anniversary. Sad truth. We are old. The number of times I had to put the (insert sarcastic expletive here) pigs back in their pen. With the help of one crazy untrained collie and an equally crazy and untrained 4 year old. While my other 4 year old "watched" my 2 year old. Speaking of, 2 pigs are getting hauled to the locker in Elma Nov 16th or 17th. Anyone interested in a whole or half a hog? (and this post sat in my drafts file since the 7th, I've now put the pigs in twice since then. The last time they were in the neighbors pasture. And by neighbor, I mean the ones 1 mile north of us across the section) And now it starts. Me blogging again for you. My one reader. You are welcome.
